What PeopleCue does
PeopleCue is a Chrome extension and backend service that helps a signed-in user remember context from their own interactions on X. It is not designed to mass crawl profiles, follower lists, timelines, hidden network responses, or private messages.
Information PeopleCue may collect
- Account information, such as email address and subscription status.
- Visible X profile information from people you interact with or manually save.
- Interaction excerpts from actions you take, plus source URL and timestamp.
- Manual notes, product settings, billing status, and diagnostics metadata.
- Privacy-safe telemetry that excludes raw private text, auth tokens, and payment secrets.
Information PeopleCue does not intentionally collect
- Hidden X API responses, full timelines, follower lists, or random feed impressions.
- OpenAI, Stripe, database, or hosting secrets in the browser extension.
- Sensitive inferred traits generated by AI by default.
How information is used
PeopleCue uses collected information to save private interaction memory, show context on hover or inside the app, generate AI-assisted memory summaries and reply suggestions, enforce paid access, manage billing, diagnose product issues, and improve reliability through privacy-safe diagnostics.
AI processing
PeopleCue sends selected interaction context to the backend for AI memory extraction and reply rewriting. The extension does not include OpenAI keys. AI processing should use only supplied interaction context, saved memories, and user settings.
Service providers
PeopleCue may use hosting and database providers, OpenAI, Stripe, Resend, Sentry, and PostHog. PeopleCue does not sell private interaction text or manual notes.
User controls
Users can pause capture, adjust capture types, disable AI processing, edit or delete memories, export product data, delete product data, and manage billing through Stripe.
Retention and contact
Product data is kept while the account is active or until the user deletes it. Backup and log retention need a final operational policy. [PLACEHOLDER - needs final retention window]
